The Programme Lead is DBS-checked, safeguarding trained and a qualified teacher.

The Student Room (TSR) is the UK’s largest online student community; we build our student support around the conversations happening every day in our forums. But we want to go a step further.

We’d love to receive applications from students studying all kinds of qualifications, getting different kinds of grades, and with all sorts of different plans for the future. And don’t worry if you’ve never used The Student Room - we’d love a mixture of people who have and people who haven’t.

We’d like to ensure our Student Advisory Board is representative of the diverse backgrounds and experiences of students in the UK, so we’re better able to understand and support as many students as possible. We’d particularly like to encourage applications from students who may face disproportionate barriers in accessing education or support, including (but not limited to) those from minoritised ethnic groups, the LGBTQ+ community and students with disabilities.

To be eligible for the programme, you need to be:

We’re inviting students from all backgrounds and experiences to become our first ever advisors. We want to discuss what’s happening for you as young people throughout the year, the challenges you face and the support you think would help students like you. The more we understand you, the better we can support UK students on our platform.

We want to live a year in your shoes.
